On September 24, Evian was invited to attend the "Third National Forum for Water Treatment Technology Development and Application Innovation in Coal Chemical Industry" and “Workshop for High-difficulty Wastewater Treatment and Overall Plant-wide Water Balance Solution” sponsored by China Coal Processing & Utilization Association and co-organized by Beijing Guodian Futong Technology Development Co., Ltd. and Dow Chemical (China) Investment Company Ltd. The conference was chaired by Chairman Zhang Shaoqiang, and relevant leaders from the Environmental  Engineering Assessment  Center of the Ministry of Environmental Protection were invited to attend the conference. More than 200 persons including the well-known domestic experts in the industry and management and technicians from the first-line production enterprises in the deep coal processing sector and from the environmental technology research and development units attended the conference.

The workshop aimed at thoroughly implementing Plan of Action for the Clean and Efficient Use of Coal (2015-2020) and the spirit of Water Ten Plan, implementing the latest environmental regulations and policies, ensuring that wastewater is discharged based on the strict wastewater discharge standards in the industry, promoting the coal chemical industry and industrial park to realize cleaner production, and promoting the improvement in the wastewater treatment level as well as the application and innovation of wastewater treatment technologies in the coal chemical industry. 

Lv Ying, a member of the Party Committee and Discipline Inspection Commission Secretary of China National Coal Association, was invited to attend the workshop and delivered an opening speech. In her speech, she introduced the current development of the coal industry and the modern coal chemical industry; elaborated the importance of environmental protection and water treatment in the coal chemical industry; and stressed the need to meet the requirements of the latest environmental regulations and policies, to vigorously promote the implementation of cleaner production and technological transformation in the coal chemical industry and industrial parks, to promote the wastewater treatment level in the coal chemical industry and the innovation and application of treatment technologies, and to provide technical support for wastewater treatment in the coal chemical industry through deep communication.

After the workshop, Wu Feng, Deputy General Manager of Evian, visited Dow Chemical (China) Investment Company Ltd. and Ochemate Material Technologies Co., Ltd. together with other representatives.
